4th Grade

In 4th Grade, we are preparing for our upcoming Informance! “Informance” is a term we use to describe an informative performance that demonstrates musical knowledge as well as performance skills. Informances will combine all three classes in each grade level so that there will be 60+ students on stage together!
This is a very important event, so please be sure that your child wears their formal uniform (http://www.eagleridgeacademy.org/files/Uniforms/Uniform_2011_2012.pdf) that day

Please see attached documents below to practice singing, dancing and speaking parts.

All Informances will take place in the ERA Cafeteria.

4th Grade Informance: Tue. March 13, 9:30-10:00am

Parking will be available in the parent parking area as well as the back of the building between 8:15am and 2:00pm on Tuesday March 13.

Students must have their recorder with them each music day during the recorder unit. 4th Grade has music class on Monday and Wednesday.

Below are videos from the 2011 4th Grade Informance!

America

My country, 'tis of thee,
Sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I sing;
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrims' pride,
From ev'ry mountainside
Let freedom ring.

My Grandfather's Clock

My grandfather's clock was too large for the shelf,

So it stood ninety years on the floor;

It was taller by half than the old man himself,

Though it weighed not a pennyweight more.

It was bought on the morn of the day that he was born,

It was always his treasure and pride;

But it stopped short never to go again, when the old man died.

Ninety years without slumbering, tick, tock, tick, tock,

His life seconds numbering, tick, tock, tick, tock,

It stopped short never to go again, when the old man died.

The Yellow Rose of Texas

There's a yellow rose in Texas

I am going home to see

She wants no other fellow

Nobody, only me

She cried so when I left her

It like to broke my heart

And if I ever find her

We nevermore will part

She's the sweetest rose of color

This fellow ever knew

Her eyes are bright as diamonds

They sparkle like the dew

You may talk about your Dearest May

and sing of Rosa Lee

But the yellow rose of Texas

beats the belles of Tennessee

I Love the Mountains

I love the mountains
I love the rolling hills
I love the flowers
I love the daffodils
I love the fireside
When the lights are low
Boom de-ah-da, Boom de-ah-da, Boom de-ah-da, Boom de-ah-da

Loch Lomond
By yon bonnie banks and by yon bonnie braes,
Where the sun shines bright on Loch Lomon'.
Where me and my true love were ever want to go
On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomon'.

O ye'll take the high road and I'll take the low road,
An' I'll be in Scotland afore ye;
But me and my true love will never meet again
On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomon'.

Waltzing Matilda

Both Classes - Chorus
Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda, You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me
And he sang as he watched and waited 'til his billy boiled,
"You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me".

Mrs. Madigan’s Class

Once a jolly swagman camped by a billabong,

under the shade of a Coolibah tree,

And he sang as he watched and waited 'til his billy boiled,

"You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me"

Chorus
Down came a jumbuck to drink at that billabong,

up jumped the swagman and grabbed him with glee,
And he sang as he shoved that jumbuck in his tucker bag,

"You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me".
Chorus

Mr. Muller’s Class

Up rode the stockman, mounted on his thoroughbred,

down came the troopers, one, two, three,
"Where's that jolly jumbuck you've got in your tucker bag?"

"You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me".
Chorus
Up jumped the swagman and sprang into the billabong,

"You'll never take me alive", said he,
And his ghost may be heard as you pass by that billabong,

"You'll come a-Waltzing Matilda, with me".
Chorus
